About the Job
An exciting opportunity exists for a young lawyer with their sight set on a career in criminal law. Darwin-based law firm Hubber Legal is looking for a hard-working and ambitious lawyer with a passion for just outcomes. With a large portion of legally aided clients, the majority of whom are indigenous – as they are hugely over-represented in the justice system - this role this role will allow a lawyer to fight for the most disadvantaged in our community.

Hubber Legal represents clients in the Supreme Court, local courts across the NT including the remote bush court circuits, Alice Springs and Katherine as well as the Youth Jus(ce Court.

A lawyer will have access to the best barristers in the business and be provided with excellent mentoring. With appropriate support and training, our lawyers are expected to appear in contested hearings, Supreme Court pleas and the Youth Justice Court. Frequent opportunities will also present to junior counsel in jury trials. We are offering top of market salary commensurate with experience, as well as generous leave entitlements
