Practice Manager - DPP Alice Springs
The Director of Public Prosecutions provides the Northern Territory community with an independent, professional and effective criminal prosecution service. The principal functions of the Director are to institute, prepare and conduct criminal cases on behalf of the Crown before the Supreme Courts and the Local Courts of the Northern Territory and the High Court of Australia.
Senior Professional Officer 2 - Remuneration Package $165,119 - $179,827 (including salary $142,543 - $155,362)
About the position: To provide effective management, leadership and development of the Alice Springs office. To provide direction and high-level advice to staff on legal matters. To engage with stakeholders on behalf of the Director to facilitate the smooth day-today operation of the Alice office, and to attend meetings on the Director’s behalf. To provide advice to the Director and his Deputy, on both complex files as well as the proper administration of the Alice office. To allocate work across the office.
Other conditions: The Director of Public Prosecutions has offices in Darwin, Katherine and Alice Springs.
