SP1/SP2 Crown Prosecutor - Darwin/Alice Springs

The Director of Public Prosecutions provides the Northern Territory community with an independent, professional and effective criminal prosecution service. The principal functions of the Director are to institute, prepare and conduct criminal cases on behalf of the Crown before the Supreme Courts and the Local Courts of the Northern Territory and the High Court of Australia.

Senior Professional Officer 1 - Remuneration Package $143,337 - $159,945 (including salary $123,559 - $138,034)
Senior Professional Officer 2 - Remuneration Package $165,119 - $179,827 (including salary $142,543 - $155,362)

Provide expert legal advice relating to the prosecution of complex prosecutions. Provide representation for the prosecution before all courts of the Northern Territory and the High Court of Australia in complex prosecutions, appeals and related matters. This is a senior litigation position for an experienced advocate.

The Director of Public Prosecutions has offices in Darwin, Katherine and Alice Springs.
