About this Event
Ethical Pursuit? is a CPD trivia quiz about a subject that’s not at all trivial. Trivia and ethics may seem an unlikely fit, but the quiz format makes for a clear and effective way to raise a wide range of topics within Ethics & Professional Responsibility.
This workshop in the format of a new game show designed to help lawyers satisfy their CPD requirements for at least one CPD unit in the ethics and professional responsibility category.
Come along and get a drink on arrival, and then use your phone to answer trivia questions about a subject that’s not at all trivial. After Ethical Pursuit? To end the evening you're invited to join us for refreshments in the garden.
Presented by Julian Morrow, Co-founder of The Chaser & Giant Dwarf, Creator of The Checkout
Former lawyer and founding member of the satirical media empire the Chaser and the joke company Giant Dwarf, Julian Morrow became a producer and writer well-known for The Letdown (2017), The Chaser's War on Everything (2006) and The Checkout (2013).
Born in Sydney in the mid 70s, Julian holds a law degree from the University of Sydney, worked as an employment lawyer from 1998 to 2003 and is married to Sydney Morning Herald columnist Lisa Pryor. Julian achieved international celebrity status in 2007 with The Chaser's APEC stunt. And later, the and the Chaser team sparked a national furore with their 'Making a Realistic Wish Foundation' skit.
Julian has a passion for rethinking the way CPDs are held. Instead of hosting, attending and completing continuing professional development seminars and tasks that simply tick the necessary boxes, wouldn’t it be great if we had CPD events and activities that genuinely engaged us?
