The seminars are intended to provide a low key and informal opportunity to hear from and connect with Local Court judges in conversational and workshop-oriented sessions.
In keeping with this intention, Judges will be speaking in their personal capacity, not on behalf of the Court, and the seminars will be held at the Purple Shed in Eastside. Practitioners, Prosecutors and client services officers are encouraged to raise issues, make suggestions, and workshop ideas.
The seminars will be in person only and no recording will be permitted. Judge Anthony Hopkins will chair each seminar, introducing the presenting Judge or Judges and talking with them about the topic. This seminar will be kept to half an hour, with the remaining half hour providing an opportunity for engagement.
Venue: The Purple Shed is located at the Purple House Social Enterprise Hub – 15 Lindsay Ave, East Side NT 0870. We are requested to consider neighbours and not park on verges or across driveways.
Cost: $10 cash at the door, to cover venue hire. If the total amount received exceeds the cost of venue hire, the excess will be donated to support the inspiring work of Purple House.
Please RSVP to Sandra.Cronin@nt.gov.au at least one day prior to the seminar you plan to attend.
