Jim was admitted as a legal practitioner in south Australia in 1985 and worked for the ATO in Canberra on design and implementation of the original CGT legislation, before joing Price Waterhouse (now PwC) in 1991. He workkin PwC offices in Melbourne, Adelaide, Sydney and Jakarta up to 2012. He was a corporate tax partner for 14 years and PwC's Adelaide Office Managing Partner for 6 years.
On his return to Australia, Jim returned to legal practice and joined the SA BAr in 2014. Jim has a unique blend of experience - spanning tax law, accounting, practice managemnt matters, and business issues generally. He has an LLB from the University of Adeliade, a Masters of Taxation from UNSW, and he hopes to complete a PhD from Uni SA later this year.
Jim has recently relocated to Darwin and now practices as a barrister with Murray Chambers - Northern Territory.
