The aim of the workshop is to discuss scenarios and strategies for managing competing priorities, developing assertiveness when dealing with senior lawyers in the firm and putting the onus back on them to assign and determine priorities. Recognising one's own capacity and workstyle and utilising tools to manage this more effectively, before it impacts upon work-life balance and leads to habits that could result in burnout.
You will gain administrative and workflow management skills, as well as negotiation and interpersonal skills to benefit workplace relationships and career development within the profession.

Micheel is the NT Manager for eReports, permanently stationed in Darwin with a brief to develop the business and provide better and more relevant services to our clients in the Territory. She has worked in the industry for about a year and was previously the Business Operations Manager for a full-service law firm. She has worked in HR, marketing and business management across several industries, as well as serving for 13 years in the Commonwealth public service. Michelle has a passion for mentoring and developing others in the workplace. She is also passionate about improving knowledge of and access to services in the areas of health and justice for Territorians. She is also learning to play the Ukelele and loves to sing jazz and blues.
