This workshop will examine how we explain the world around us and our behavioural flexibility when responding to the variety of challenging situations we face in our work. This CPD event will be delivered using lecture, humorous video demonstrations and facilitated discussion.
Presenter: Shane Warren, IRIS Consulting
A country boy by birth, Shane has lived and worked all over the world and brings 25 years’ experience as a facilitator, counsellor, coach and consultant. He has held international leadership roles with peak coaching and counselling bodies across the region, including Co-Chair of the Asia Pacific Board of Ethical Review for Auxiliary Health Services and is currently Director of the International Resilience Institute, Sydney.
Shane is a registered psychotherapist and clinical superviser, certified practising coach and hypnotherapist; with training in psychology, theology, philosophy and specialised areas of medicine, business and law. Shane has studied in the field of resilience and positive psychology at Pennsylvania State University under the stewardship of leaders in the profession, including Professor Martin Seligman and Dr Andrew Shatté.
In recent years Shane has co-authored a number of publications most notably:

- Perspectives on Coping & Resilience, with Drs Andrew Shatté & Venkat Pulla.
When not working, Shane enjoys spending time with his partner and 3 children in whatever part of the world their work takes them.
